Question types
Microsoft exams mix several formats: single and multiple choice, drag-and-drop ordering, case studies with several questions about one scenario, and yes/no statement series. For the yes/no series you usually cannot go back once you have answered, so read them carefully.
The passing score is scaled
A score of 700 does not mean you need 70% correct. Microsoft scales scores, and questions can carry different weights. Aim for a comfortable margin: if you consistently score above 80% on good practice exams, you are in a strong position.
Preview features
Most questions are about features that are generally available (GA). Microsoft notes that commonly used preview features can also appear, which matters for a fast-moving product like Foundry.
If you fail
You can retake the exam 24 hours after a first failed attempt. Waiting periods increase for later retakes, so treat attempt two as the one that counts.
Booking the exam
You book through the official Microsoft certification page, which hands you over to Pearson VUE. Choose between a test centre and an online exam at home. If you test online, run the system check on your computer a day in advance.
