AB-620, Designing and Building Integrated AI Solutions in Copilot Studio, is Microsoft’s exam for developers who build enterprise agents on Microsoft Copilot Studio rather than in code. Passing it earns the Microsoft Certified: AI Agent Builder Associate credential.
This is not a beginner’s agent exam. Microsoft’s audience profile assumes you can already configure an agent with knowledge sources, instructions, tools and topics in Copilot Studio, and that you are familiar with Power Fx, Dataverse, Power Platform environments, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Foundry and adaptive cards. On top of that it expects intermediate generative AI knowledge including RAG, orchestration, Model Context Protocol (MCP) and the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol.
In other words, AB-620 starts where a typical “build your first agent” course ends.

The integration domain is the largest, and it is where the distinctive material sits: connectors, MCP tools, REST APIs, computer use, Fabric data agents, multi-agent collaboration and A2A. If you only have time for one domain, that is the one.
